I know Drake has two Q3 losses which few bubble teams have right now (a few have one I think only one other one has two) but they have as many or more Q1 and Q2 wins than so many other teams. I know most teams still have opportunities to build their resumes but I feel like Drake has done enough. I hope the same is true for Loyola if they should find their fate in the hands of the committee but I have seen my own school and other MVC schools bitten by the selection committee so many times that I am very leery that it will happen again. I hope as long as the game is close especially the committee will give Elgin the same sendoff they gave Rick Byrd a few years ago when they let Belmont in. I know this sounds crazy but I think Drake's resume is as good as that of Loyola. 6-1 against the top two quadrants is an amazing mark few bubble teams can match. I hope they weigh how many opportunities Drake had relative to other bubble teams in their decision as well even though Drake could have possibly scheduled a little better to help themselves even more even though this run they went on was pretty surprising to be fair. Can the team that loses try to get themselves another opportunity this year by scheduling a game to boost their resumes or is it too late for that? I heard Lunardi mention that SLU might try this. Maybe the loser of the MVC Final should try to take them on if possible to try to grab themselves a resume building win.
