The Ramblers offense looked a little tentative tonight, and the defense was not as sharp as it should be, but they managed to squeak out a 103-45 win over the Coppin St. Eagles in Chicago.

For UE to compete against these stronger teams, UE must shoot well especially from 3. They were terrible. 26% overall and 27% from 3.

Weak defense, too many turnovers, out hustled, out muscled, out rebounded, out competed.

Returning starters have not improved over last year. Guards Givance and Newton will be ok, the others are just not going to be competitive against these athletic teams. They haven't in 4 years, they will not this year.

Inside game was about as bad as it could be.

Tonight, the Aces looked like the same old weak UE teams us Aces fans have seen for far too many years. Pretty much the same weaknesses every year. They looked like a team that will struggle to win 10 games.

Boo Coach Licklitter. Based on this game, you failed to get this team ready and you failed to recruit at the level required in the MVC. Hope things change for the better.

Right on in every aspect. Winning 10 games will be a monumental achievement. Thursday night here we come.

The Bradley fans are pretty quiet. Must be embarrassing getting blown out and going 0-2 against an MVFC football school. The Bradley brand - LOL.

Just as everyone expected, Drake, Loyola, and the ISU's had to carry the conference tonight.

It's getting pretty tiring having to rely on Illinois State to make the Valley look good. /s

SalukiWorld wrote:Luke Yaklich and Dane Fife were the 2 other names I heard for the job. I'm guessing Yaklich eventually gets the ISU-Red job if he can show some improvement at UIC.

I loved the Mullins hire and I'm not out on him yet by any stretch but what happened when Domask went out last year and what happened tonight are giving me concerns. Tonight was his worst coached game at SIU, it was awful.

If Yaklich is going to ISU and needs to get better then he better do so quick. Muller is gone after next season.

We were bad tonight. Real bad.

We've only got 8 available bodies and a good Vermont team in 43 hours.

So disappointed.

Drake and Loyola will be fine if they take care of business given their names. Missouri State and Northern Iowa have an uphill battle now.

UNI can still be alright since their schedule affords them a lot of opportunities. They may have scheduled too tough too early, playing the Southland favorite on opening night and the America East favorite 2 days later. They have a lot of pieces that need to build continuity.
