That post might be more delusional than the guy on the other thread that thinks Chris Lowry would have SIU in the Final Four.

Nobody ever hated Loyola, we were underwhelmed by the add and to Loyola's credit they proved us all wrong. Good for them, good for the league. You just flat weren't around long enough for anybody to develop strong feelings. You aren't Creighton, you aren't Wichita. 9 years is so much different than decades. I also don't get why you think we've embraced Valpo, there are probably hundreds of posts on this board about how awful the facilities are and the need for them to figure it out sooner rather than later.

We get that Loyola took the institutional fit, it is what it is but you're not going to a better league. You're going to a league that gets East Coast hype for being the same level. Just check out Hacksaws analysis. The Valley gets too few bids, gets way underseeded and then wins games. The A10 gets bids, gets overseeded and then loses games.

Come on, this is just sad. Take the rejection with some dignity, MVC fans.

I assume fancy pants is an LUC fan? I harbor no ill will and hope you do well this week so you can leave even more money behind. I get why you made the move to the A10, but I think you are going to meet an end more similar to Wichita St in the AAC than Creighton in the BE.

Since their fan’s never traveled well anyway, the farther destinations to go to games won’t really be an issue.
UIC, Murray State, and Belmont will.

Imagine a world where Loyola makes another sweet 16, loses their 6 seniors and Drew Valentine decides to jump ship and take a better job.

Imagine a world where Bradley makes the sweet 16! I can't either. Sadly we live in this world, where the MVC is a stepping stone for ascendant programs and a dead-end for the same 7-8 sad sack schools that will never leave. Though they would jump at the chance... moot point because they'll never be invited.

Wait, weren’t you just lecturing everyone about dignity 5 minutes ago?

Everyone posting on this board has lived in a world where Bradley makes the Sweet 16. Sounds like someone became a fan 4 years ago.

Next year’s MVC will have had 5 programs who’ve made a Sweet 16 in 25 years. 11 programs who’ve won an NCAA Tournament game. Mid-major programs are cyclical. As a Loyola fan, you should know that more than anyone.

Oh sorry, I see Bradley made the sweet 16 during the Bush administration. My mistake -- definitely not a moribund program.

Current KenPom rankings:
10 MVC
11 A-10

If you flip Loyola:
10 A-10
11 MVC

So if the MVC is all sad sack programs, what’s the A-10?

A moribound program...that’s qualified for 2 NCAA Tournaments in 4 years.

But congratulations on looking up the Sweet 16 on Wikipedia! You clearly weren’t aware of it in your last post.

Btw, how’s the dignity you signed up here to lecture everyone about going?
