He didn't pick UNI to finish last. He ranked their recruiting class last in the MVC.

I imagine it was conceived by Father Harry looking at the rosters and saying these guys got more good guys than those guys. That may be too complicated for some, but it seems pretty straight forward from a guy who has been covering the Valley for years, writes professionally and is a frequent guest on various shows/ pod casts. Polls/rankings are always subjective , even when they use systems for assigning points etc, so it comes down to your confidence in the writers background, research, and understanding of what he's ranking. Preseason polls and rankings exist because people like to talk and argue about that stuff. I'm sure there are other rankings/ articles about MVC recruiting that might reflect a bit differently ; it's all just gist for the summer discussions.
