Richmond is decent but can't lose by 30 to them

Bulldogs have not played well this season, despite the 8-1 record. It all came to a head today. Came out not ready to play, got in a huge hole and never made a run.

Next two opponents are both significantly better than Richmond. How will this Bulldog team respond?

Good opportunity to hopefully get a couple good quality wins.

Oh no no no. Their coach is one of the worst in college basketball, perennially on the hot seat. Does enough once per decade to hang on to his job, but this guy DEFINES soft. And he's been up to his old ways this season after a one-off last year. This kind of loss to this kind of soft team says a lot about Drake. This can't happen. Sorry.

SIU in a thriller with Alcorn State at the half a year after nearly losing to them last year. It's becoming quite the rivalry.

The Bears are not really capable of beating anyone with a pulse who is well coached. They have the talent to beat bad teams, so they'll probably hover around .500 and every once in awhile (like against MTSU) things will randomly come together for them and they'll blow out a solid team.

They play really hard on defense which helps, and have good athleticism and size, but I have no clue what they are trying to do on offense. It's boring, slow, and without any sort of plan. It reminds me actually a bit of some of Muller's Redbird teams which I never understood why they weren't better because they looked great coming out of the locker room. Ford's "system" worked when you had guys like Mosley and Prim who could get their own buckets at will, but this years group isnt built for that.

Seems like most Bears fans are about ready for Ford to move on, but thats not gonna happen this year. He's elevated the program for sure above where Lusk had it, but it's his deficiencies with X's and O's is really holding the program back.

Fort Wayne isn't terrible but Missouri State obviously should win that game. Dana's seat should probably be getting hot. Them and SIU feel like parallels of each other. SIU might be at that point next year.

Dana got extended after last year so he's not going anywhere (sadly).
The Bears set the team and arena record for most 3s.....41. At least we made 7 of them so it wasn't a total waste.

League play might actually be kind of entertaining because we're all horrible.
