The following was edited based on Havoc's correction:
A team with 17 point lead is smart to shorten the game by taking the shot clock down before making a shot attempt. This uses time, forces the opponent to play defense, and typically results in your opponent "hurrying their offense" and making mistakes. Indiana State did not back off either time, they did not have the composure to hold a lead, on the road or at home. They could not stop the Aces from scoring and failed to score. Conversely, the Aces shot the ball well.
The Aces lose this game if they spot the Sycs 15 or more points.
The pressure is on Indiana State because:
1. Higher seed
2. Fan base has expectations
3. Twice loss 17 point lead
No pressure on Aces:
1. Lower seed.
2. Fan base glad to have Friday game.
3. Aces KNOW they can beat Sycamores.
The Sycamores will have more fans at the game, but other fanbases will be clapping for the Aces.
Everybody likes the underdog.
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.
