Because they do nothing for the conference. I don't think Oakland fits that. Milwaukee you may be able to make a case for. Could they be even better with the Valley backing? We've talked about the obvious in other threads. Butler, Dayton, Xavier and SLU. SLU brings the least to the table of that group. ORU doesn't do much. Detroit intrigues me, but I'm not sure what they're doing will last. The biggest problem is that football is a factor, and most schools in our geographic area that could help, play football at the highest level and aren't coming to the Valley. I don't really see any schools in Texas that would be attractive. The Dakotas do nothing.
