Like I said before you have to give it to the Wichita fan base...they see an NCAA tournament and Valley championship contender from a starting 5 who averaged 9pts per game last year in DI.
I see the tallest and most athletic team in the league. Regardless of experience, that means they should be good at defense, and defense = wins. And while they lost the most, they also had the best recruiting class even without counting their JuCo players.
Besides, per game production is overrated. What is important is efficiency, and Hall/Orukpe were still fairly efficient. Hall shot 57.2% from the field, and Orukpe shot 50%, though neither are good at FTs. Armstead was decently efficient for a guard and had a good A/TO ratio at Oregon (great thief as well).
