Cold, I'm just going to answer the question as if you're actually interested. As some have said they return everyone but Antoine Young from a team that fared pretty well last season and ended up ranked. The difficulty in playing vs Creighton this year will be how to defend them. If you collapse down low on Dougie and GE, you're likely going to get killed from the 3 point shooters that are Josh Jones, Ethan Wragge, Avery Dingman, Jahenns Manigat...if you don't collapse then Doug and GE will have their way underneath. Jays also have a couple guys that can create off the dribble (something they lacked a little aside from Antoine Young from last season) in Andre Yates and Nevin Johnson (redshirt frosh currently injured).
The area of concern for most is defense...it seems to be a given that the Jays will get their points somehow due to the weapons they have inside and out. It's not a given that they'll be able to stop the opposition from doing the same.
BTW, I'm guessing Armstead is going to be a beast this year...played really well for Oregon in the one year my bro coached him up there.
Hmmm.. it takes about 3 of those guards you mentioned to equal Young's point production. Chatman doesn't look like he can shoot too well. And his 41 turnovers in about 1/3 of the playing time of Young is pretty shaky. He was turning the ball over at double the rate of Young. Who is going to lead your team?
Also, I don't know about the rest of the conference, but the Shocks had no problem containing Lil' Wookie last year and we sure won't this year. There will be no collapsing down.. lol
Armstead is solid, but I don't consider him a beast in the context of what we have on the roster. I expect Early, Hall, and Wiggins to have a bigger impact. We just need Armstead to be solid and lead the team, which I'm sure he will. EO will clear the lane of anyone silly enough to drive, and Hall will score in bunches. Early is going to demand attention every time he checks into a game. He is an unbelievable athlete.
I certainly hope you make it to the Shocker game in Bugaha this year. You will get your money's worth with what we are bringing to town.
