WOW. I thought WSU fans only bitched and whined about the referees. Quite a few CU posters think that was the difference in the game!
I thought Creighton fans were better than that? I thought that was only a WSU thing?
Comical.

I thought it was pretty square. The Gibbs flagrant call was comical but if you go word for word of the rule I guess it applies, just a tough break. He hit him with his 2nd elbow while pulling his arms closer. All in all we had 2 good looks to tie it and failed. Fun game and nice win for Wichita.

I was impressed with Creighton's defense. They have improved quite a bit. For the most part our guards were a tad to quick but they collapsed decent enough to disrupt alot of shots. Shox rebounding was difference. Alot more offensive boards which gave them more shots which they needed today.
Definitely the top 2 teams in the Valley this year. If both keep playing well both should get good seeds.
Well played game Creighton

The MVC couldn't have asked for a better feature game, I was impressed by the effort both teams brought in the game. There certainly (as there always is in games) were some questionable calls out there, but the Jays shouldn't have expected to get many calls on the road in a difficult environment to play in.
I was impressed that Doug actually put in a decent scoring game against WSU for once, at least he did quiet some of his critics today with his performance. I would have liked to have seen Doug get the chances for the tie, but give your Shockers credit for defending him well in those situations.
As I mentioned earlier, this makes the March 2nd game all that much bigger for both teams, hoping that CU fans bring in for that game and turn the Century Link Center into a formidable home court advantage for once.

Without going into a lot of technical details, it all boils down to compression. Low angle on a tele lens makes the players seem closer together than they really are. Everything seems scrunched up and it's impossible to see the spacing on the floor. This compression is only combated by increasing the angle and giving more of an over head/birds eye view of the floor.
Believe me. It looks bad. Switch back and forth between this game and the Louisville/Syracuse game. The difference is night and day.
