Each unit is split into 10 equal shares = $25k/share
Team earning the unit gets 2 shares
CU will have their shares split between the remaining 9 teams
At present, each of the 9 schools will recieve 4 $25k shares plus the $25k x 2 split 9 ways (.22 shares each) that belonged to CU. WSU gets an additional 4 shares by earning the units.
Or
WSU gets 8.22 shares = 205.5k
all others get 4.22 shares = 105.5k
I do not know if this is spread over 6 years or each yr.
I assume after this years' tourney the MVC loses the 4 units from the 2007 tourney. But so far we'll have 4 units from the 2013 tourney. So hopefully WSU and CU can keep winning.
If both CU and WSU lose this weekend then the MVC will have 13 NCAA units from the past 6 years.
the next 2 years we only lose 1 unit per year, in 2008 and 2009 the MVC only gained 1 NCAA unit from the tourney
