Maybe that will be the case, but then again, maybe not. At any rate, I can't understand for the life of me why some of you are still talking about waiting to see what the Big East will do about St. Louis and Dayton. Why? It appears to me (and ALL of us are on the outside looking in) that there has been some obvious talk between the new Big East, SLU and Dayton and there has be some agreement for those two to stay in the A-10 for another year. For whatever reason the Big East is not allowing all 5 candidates in at this time. That still doesn't mean that SLU and Dayton would move to the MVC. Why would they when it would be to them, a lateral move at best without the A-10 having Butler and Xavier and the Valley minus Creighton. So they'll just wait for now. So just deal with the prospect that the Missouri Valley Conference might just add 1-3 teams that most of you are not going to be satisfied with until they prove themselves!
As a WSU fan, I'm interested in what happens to Saint Louis and Dayton, because we need to leave the Valley for the A-10 if they stay.
As I've said, I'm all for staying in the Valley if the Valley begins thinking long-term with an eye on TV contracts, not an eye on making safe moves for budget strapped teams. I don't see that happening, though.
