Uh yes, he is joking. Creighton and UNI will not be playing at all let alone under a contract like this.

Oh, they wont be? Creighton and coach Mac must have failed to consult you on this decision.

I've heard that Coach Mac said we weren't playing MVC teams in the near future. Maybe there is an exception for UNI although the treatment he gets there would make me wonder why he'd want to go back.

Losing to an MVC team would be embarrassing and when Doug is gone, losing will happen with regularity.

It probably doesn't matter much how they do in the new league. They will still be in the new league and WSU will still be in the MVC

And CU will probably be continuing their run of 1st-round losses or round of 32 losses in the NCAA's if CU actually makes the tourney. While WSU will be knocking off some more of their S16 and F4 finishes in the tourney.

CU couldn't make the S16 with the Valley DPoY and a national PoY candidate. Once both of those are gone, and looking at McDermott's track record, I don't see where CU fans have any justification for the optimism they're showing.

If CU fans think they're moving into one of the power conferences, most of the schools that made the BEast the bottom-feeder of the power conferences, were the FB schools. McDermott was a decent Valley coach, but he was a dismal failurew t a higher level.

McDermott will probably be an adequate coach at the level the Big Priest will be playing. McDermott pretty well proved he couldn't handle B12 coaching. If anybody expects the Big Priest to rival the B12, then those people need to acknowledge that CU does not have a coach who can win at that level.

I don't care.

Creighton's done great for themselves with this move.

WSU was just in the Final Four, and no one associated with this conference in the last several decades has any bragging rights over us.

Best of luck to them in the Big East. I'm fine with cheering for them in that conference.

The Big East is fine and Creighton may do well there. But I don't think that they will replace Doug and the Big Guy. Without them, they won't be able to beat UNI, ISUR, or Bradley as they improve in the future. Therefore, they shouldn't play us.

I don't think Mac wants to play at UNI again... ever. I don't think this rumor has legs.

I think you are on to something. Mac has said before that he doesn't enjoy playing his good friend and that Jacobson feels the same way about playing Mac.

Personally I can't wait for Evansville to become the Creighton of the MVC and leave you all wishing to be as lucky.
