Seriously?
Do you honestly think people would be happy about a 300 RPI team taking it to a so called upper-half, better Valley team?
Don't tank it in non-con, win a game, and expect to have people worshipping the ground you walk on.

For our new conference mates, there is something very important that you don't understand about Valley basketball. Most years, 3 or 4 teams are fighting like mad to put together an at-large resume. One of the key things that the selection committee looks at is wins against top 50 and wins against top 100 teams. A third item is losses against 200+ teams. Now I don't think MSU or Drake were going to make a serious push towards an at-large, but someone that MIGHT is Indiana State. What Indiana State needs more than anything is wins over quality opponents. Unfortunately Evansville, SIU, Bradley, and Loyola aren't going to give them that opportunity. There was a hope that Drake and/or MSU could be that extra top 100 type team that helps propel a second team into the tourney. But, with Loyola and Bradley tanking in the non-con and then hanging that big loss on Drake and Loyola, it hurts every other team in the conference by decreasing the likelihood of multiple bids.
