Why do you think Creighton would be a slight favorite at a neutral site?

I ran some numbers and it probably would be a close game again. No surprise that Creighton has better offensive numbers and WSU has better defensive numbers.

WSU CREIGHTON
PTS 76.3 81.5
FG% .456 .483
3P% .354 .431
FT% .726 .757
ORPG 11.9 10.3
DRPG 27.3 27.0
ASSISTS 13.7 18.8
TOPG 9.4 10.5
STEALS 7.25 5.07
BLOCKS 4.88 2.13
FOULS 16.82 17.26

There's a sight where you can run simulations if anyone cares to.

I wasn't trying to start any sh!t, just surfing the old forum. Maybe your Shox are the slight fave or it is pick 'em, but they would have been 2, or maybe 3, great conference/conf. tourney games that you don't have in 2014, and your DAMN-good team needs them to prepare it for the post-season. The regular-season games at both Koch and our Phone Booth would have been awesome like the past few years, and while I am excited to try a conference tourney in the Big Apple, the last 20 years at Arch Madness are some great memories.
I hope you stay injury-free and keep representing the conference I loved for the last 30 years so very well.
Your fan base is one of the most passionate in the nation. I hope ISU-B and all of our old conference Brothers are successful going forward. Happy New Year!

I agree that it would be very close. Going to miss the rivalry with Creighton and the good games it has produced the last few years.

Saluki762 asked: What if Kansas, Louisville, Memphis and SLU were still members? Arch Madness would be super exciting.

KC MVC FAN replied: It would not be the MVC. That's like MO, KU, OK, OSU, ISU, KSU, NEB, and COL still being the Big 8. Wish it were so but not going to happen

uniftw asked" How would it not be the MVC?

The conference was called the MVC when they were in it....I see no reason that would change.
Shockheart said:Because this guy doesn't know shat about the MVC. He calls himself a fan, but doesn't know the history of the conference.
KC MVC FAN: SHAT! SHAT? SHAT? I am going to tell your mother you were saying bad words. She will wash out your mouth with soap---hopefully with LUX--it is very foamy and tastes awfull!!

And I know some history of the MVC. Could not live in Kansas and Mizzery for 65 plus years and not know a little about the MVC (plus the BIG 6, BIG 8, BIG 12, BIG 10, PAC??, NCAA, NAIB and NAIA). Quit trying to live in the past. Those teams are long gone from the conference and the MVC is not the conference it was 35, 40, 50, 60 years ago. Struggling now to stay in the top third of DII conferences. Now, with CU gone it is a one school/one team conference, with everyone hanging on WSU's coat tails and praying they do not leave. If WSU does leave for greener pastures, the MVC will be lucky to retain a conference CHAMP invite to the NCAA. About half the current conference teams need to go back to DII (and I am not excluding my BEARS). Some may even need to go back to the NAIA. Now there is a good tournament, the NAIA Championship, in KC. 32 teams that would give many/most of the MVC teams a good battle!!!!

How would they lose the automatic bid if WSU lost?

I don't think a CU / WSU game would be close at all this year. Shox would win going away IMO. CU just isn't the same team without big E.
