1. Dayton is not in the Valley.
2. What MSU non-conference win is "significant"?

Give them a break. This was a well researched and thought out post. :D

It makes me nervous when people say several false things in the same sentence as "WSU is a Final 4 contender." I'm then required to wonder if their terrible observations apply to that as well.
This is an age old issue---instate major universities not scheduling smaller instate teams. So, for fun and games you math/RPI/SOS/Ditto Heads do a routine of your MVC team playing your state's major university teams. Recommend you do it for the most recent five years (2010 through 2014 seasons) to iron out ups and downs. Should also be done for home and away games each season, and done against each of you major DI universities. FOR EXAMPLE:

2010 KU at WSU and WSU at KU
KSU at WSU and WSU at KSU
2011 KU at WSU and WSU at KU
KSU at WSU and WSU at KSU (continue through 2014 season)

2010 ISU at UNI and UNI at ISU
Iowa at UNI and UNI at IOWA
Same 5 year format and home and away for DRAKE and ISU and Iowa, all Illinois MVC school versus Illinois and Northwestern, all Indiana MVC schools versus INU, Purdue, and ND, MSU versus MIZZOU.

Have Fun!!! Be truthful
I have not seen any response to this challenge---an opportunity to say how your instate mid major MVC school would fare against you instate major university BB team.

Been a few gripes on the forum on major programs not scheduling with the mid majors. Latest is Bill Self at KU not agreeing to schedule with WSU. Coach Weber at KS State is willing to schedule with WSU, but under some un described conditions. Don't know what the situation is in the other four MVC states.

But, I find it significant that no one/fan has stepped up and attempted to show how good or how bad their MVC team would do against their major instate BB team(s). I think a good %%%% of fans want to cry, but not real loud and real long, because they can't get a game with the big boys. To get beat 70-90% of the time does not produce good stats for post season tournament selection and seeding.

Do not take this to mean that I am knocking you team, or any team. I am not!!

I think WSU beats K-State 2 or 3 out of 3 games.

I think we beat KU 1 or 2 out of 3 games.

Any other questions?

BTW, I had to fix the quote thing for you. Please don't jack it up again. Seriously, who misquotes themselves?

Surely you are joking. 2 or 3 out of 3 from KSU. 1 or 2 out of 3 from KU. Seen a lot of BS on this forum but this may win the blue ribbon.

Watching WSU and Bradley and KSU and OK now. Watched KU and ISU last night. Don't see you matching up with any of the 4 Big 12 teams. Over five seasons and 10 games (5 at home and 5 away), at best WSU maybe 6 out of 10 against KSU, and maybe 2 out of 10 against KU. Maybe a little better numbers against ISU and OK.
Only Big 12 school I would give you a positive win/loss would be TCU, and possibly Texas Tech.

There is not a more appropriate response than this. This guy clearly has no idea whats going on.

Suggest that D-I basketball is vastly superior to NAIA and other diversions and you're crazy.

Suggest that a Top 5 team could win multiple games over slightly lower ranked teams and you're crazy.

[Insert snappy comeback]

How would you figure WSU would do against Pitt, Gonzaga and Ohio State?

Can we have a forum heart to heart here?

Just stop responding to KC MVC FAN. He'll go away.

He's either a troll or an idiot. He simultaneously argues WSU will go undefeated in the Valley while also arguing WSU wouldn't win two out of three against any B12 team but TCU.. He is not an MVC fan. He is a troll. He has been a troll since his first post here, as he's ranted about how the Valley would fail without UMKC. At no point has he contributed anything positive to a discussion. If we keep responding to him, he will keep posting. Let's just stop.
