The ball is below the rim, the MSU player is behind the backboard trying to go through Tuttle who jumped straight up (if anything it's a foul on MSU for a push in the back), and...well...the ball is below the rim...and no shot was taken as the ball is being touched by the MSU players forearm. I've seen come amazing shots but a behind the backboard shot with a forearm would be a first.

You're joking, right??

If nothing else it should have been a foul on Tittie for body chucking Pickens. Not to mention the fact that in the picture Pickens is touching the ball, therefor it's not longer an in bounds pass and is a live ball, therefor it's a clear and obvious goaltending violation. Period.

That said, it doesn't matter. We played like feces and deserved to lose.

The fact that that picture is the most compelling evidence that Bears fans have, a picture showing absolutely no chance for a basket or shot in any imaginable fashion and hence no goaltending, speaks volumes about how desperately they want to validate themselves of being awarded a chance at beating UNI.
It's offical...maybe I'm slow on picking up on it.

agrinut is MSUBear42. The same picture has now been used by evidence by only 3 places - MSUBeat42 on bearnation (the admin), the bearnation twitter account (100% chance that is run by msubear42), and agrinut here.

Those are also the only 3 places that have bitched at all about that call online.

To say Tuttle didn't 'mean' to grab on to the rim is one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever heard.
Tuttle was infront of Pickens the entire play and Pickens tried to jump through Tuttle - thus the reason Seth ended up flailing like he did and falling like he did.

It was the correct call.

How long until you start using the "Lusk told me to say this" crap again?

Step 2 - The right team won. Gulley's stage act was fine, but I did not care for his "look at me, look at what I got away with" show boating.

Step 3 - I have never been a big fan of Tuttle, but he showed me something tonight. He played very smart and very tough.

Step 4 - I am glad the Cats won.

I can see how "Step 1" is an actual "step"...but the rest of those aren't really verbs. How do I take action on those.

;)

I strive for proper grammar and spelling. Sometimes I run off the road and into the ditch. Bulletin boards will cause that kind of failure.

When I do, Ms. Chase rolls over in her grave. Ms. Chase was my teacher for English and Literature for each of my high school years. Ms. Chase was a very proper English, English teacher. Yes, she was from England.

Side note: I am predicting that Bradley will play on Thursday.

3. The review on Tuttles foul clearly showed they f-ed that call up from the start by not calling Gulley for molestation.

I can promise you that is why they would never have called it a flagrant...that and the fact it wasn't.

That call completely changed the game on terms of what Tuttle, and UNI could do.

However, let's keep tweeting the conference our tears and jealously of losing to an inferior team at a 73 percent rate the last decade blaming officials for it

Not the first time this shtick had been pulled by MSU fans during a UNI game

Without that call on Tuttle, he'd have gone for 30 and UNI would have won by double digits.

I think Bears fans are just getting a bit antsy. They look at what's happening in Carbondale and they get a bit jumpy. You fired Barry for a guy that didn't get you into the tournament and then took the first train out of town and now you've got a guy that no experience and gets out coached on a regular basis.

Jake owned Lusk last night.

Yes he did!
Dumping Barry had nothing to do with Lusk unless you think we have Lusk because Alford left.

Why was the last play not reviewed? Sort of nutty it wasn't, wasn't it?

There was nothing to review.

1. It wasn't a shot, this there can't be goaltending.
2. An inbounds pass can't count as a basket. If the ball goes through the hoop it's the other teams ball OB at the previous spot.
3. The review on Tuttles foul clearly showed they f-ed that call up from the start by not calling Gulley for molestation.

It was a shot, it was goaltending, it is non reviewable.

Oh my God, no, it absolutely was not. You are dumb.
