To say that creighton and msu have shown great separation from UNI is ridiculous at this point. What have you seen from those two that makes you think they have separated themselves from UNI? I'd argue that Creighton doesn't have a single quality win, and MSU's best win is the UNI win.
I've seen them win 2 games where UNI has won none. That's 100% separation in my book. Sure the games could have gone either way, but they didn't. When you can't score, or at least have tremendous difficulty scoring, your margin for error shrinks. This is a team with a talented and deep group of guards and almost no post game. Their superior defense will keep them in games AS LONG AS THEY CONTINUE TO BUY IN. At some point, if there isn't more success, the likelihood of them relaxing a bit on d increases. Then it's Thursday night.
I have always pegged UNI around 4-5 and I still think that's the most likely spot. But if you've watched the teams, there is nothing to make you think UNI is much more than a .500 team in this league. Any wins against CU, MSU and even WSU would have to be considered surprises.
