You aren't understanding me. Here are my points:
1. First and foremost, I care about every team in this conference. NonCon I cheer for them and postseason tournaments. Yes, everyone needs to schedule better and in general be better, but this isn't the Big 12, Big 10, ACC, etc. Each school has limitations or issues. WSU once upon a time did too, until two great hires in a row and some luck in the recruiting front took you to the final 4....giving more exposure, etc.
2. I, however, do not care to have sympathy for a team who is, or believes they are good enough to make the NCAAs, yet loses to teams that are inferior to them. UNI had their chances after beating #1 and #5, but had an awful start to Valley play. That is on the team, not the conference. They lost at home to Loyola for goodness sake. WSU still has a chance for an at large...which brings me to my next point.
3. I am hating your fan approach to this loss today. Rather than look to your own team for it's struggles like UNI fans did, you are blaming the conference for these losses. Now, if you are superior to everyone, there should never be a loss. That's been the point I have made for PAGES now. Stop deflecting the blame....everyone on here understands that a bad conference this year hurts your at large chances....we just don't share SYMPATHY for you.

If every team just replaced 1 cupcake with a good team it would create a ripple effect that would bump up every team considerably. If every team replaced 2 cupcakes with solid teams it would probably be enough to get UNI an at-large bid. Instead of looking for the easy fix that would get everyone in this conference more money and more success everyone would rather focus on themselves and take pleasure in Evansvilling the at-large contenders.
Maybe Barry and Marty scheduled like s*** to make sure they kept their jobs and I can't fault someone for that, but that's exactly why there need to be a mandate but unfortunately no more than 3 teams in this conference have any prayer of getting to an NCAA tournament outside of a fluke run in St. Louis so they have no reason to approve a mandate.
Yes, we all understand this and have since Stickboy referenced it 5 pages ago!!! The repeater continues...
You just happen to be dominating (or were dominating) in an era of poor MVC play. If this was 2006-2007 when 3-4 teams made it each year, then you would not be bitching, you would not be asking for other leagues, and this entire conversation would be moot.
