To what question?'

What? Put down the tequila, and attempt that sentence again please.

mvcfan wrote:The same stance for COY. Gregg Marshall's teams dominates the league but he isn't as good a coach.

He's a great coach, but there are other deserving coaches out there too. In support of said coaches, nobody is dismissing Marshall, they're just supporting the other deserving candidates.

The league isn't even in the same conversation? Your sentence structure is just awful. How many shots have you done at this point?

mvcfan wrote:The National media knows that the MVC is THE SHOCKERS vs. the rest of the league.

It's every team vs. the rest of the league. It's Bradley vs. the rest of the league... it's Northern Iowa vs. the rest of the league. Nobody gets to add up wins with another team to determine final standings. Illinois State isn't holding hands across the finish line with Loyola to try and get 1st place.

mvcfan wrote:I don't like putting the whole league into this conversation, because there are some fair posters. However, there are not very many so it is what it is.

I'm sure said posters are relieved to not be in the path of your wrath.

mvcfan wrote:It's also a contrast regarding how the national media see this conference. It's really a sad commentary on a conference who used to be Top 6-7 and now is barely in the Top 15.

Finally I'll agree with you. Yes, the Valley used to be much, much better than it is now. Collectively we all have to do our part. But don't forget Wichita State spent many years being one of the whipping boys in the Valley. Do you really think Wichita State is going to rise into some Power 5 Powerhouse basketball school after this run? I highly doubt it. Most likely the cycle will continue and another will rise up to take your place. We've seen Wichita without FVV this year and it wasn't pretty. Next year is an important year in Shockerland, and Marshall will go a long way in proving a COY status without FVV and Baker in the backcourt if he keeps the ship afloat and wins again.

The funniest part about this is most of the people here are saying FVV should have won, and he was very deserving. Yet all the WSU posters see is one post where someone says Mock had a great year (which he did obviously) and claim we are all jealous because they won the league.

Just enjoy it and don't get so damn defensive. You guys are the biggest group of classholes I've ever seen. Maybe if you would ever have a reasonable conversation about things. Like state stats or facts about why FVV deserved it more than Mock people wouldn't react so badly. The only thing you say is that "We dominated you guys are you are just jealous, that is the only reason you think someone else should have won." No realistically people are actually looking at stats and realized Mock had a great season on a team that wasn't as good as the team FVV had around him. But you can reason with the unreasonable which is why your responses are the way they are.

The same stance for COY. Gregg Marshall's teams dominates the league but he isn't as good a coach. This is all about JEALOUSY in a league who isn't even in the same conversation. The National media knows that the MVC is THE SHOCKERS vs. the rest of the league.

Are you serious? Google the name Buddy Hield and Ben Simmons. They will both win Player of the Year on teams that won't win their conference.

We are not jealous about FVV and agree he should win it, but for the millionth time the award is individual based, not team based (that only plays a small factor).

Just look up those two players. Also, read about what the UNI fan said about Jason Daisy....these are facts.

I swear between MVCFan's lack of everything knowledgeable and ShoxMVC getting worked up over people calling him out, then throwing insults left and right....I miss Championz. Okay, no I don't.

I'd give the POY to Tyler Ulis over Simmons personally

The few ISUR fans are so used to being dominated in the league standings every year, they just can't keep up with what is being said. At least this year their record is above 500. The past two years have been good years for them and they are just happy to be where they are. :)
