Are they not going to count the ISUb loss at Evansville?

With .6 sec. on the clock and the length of the court to go and MSU gets mauled?

You are…………..

Well, yes and no. I was simply illistrating a point that the refs should never decide the game on a last second shot. Both teams could be called for a foul and nearly every single possession of a game but the refs basically only call fouls when they feel like it. Its part of the game and I get that. I just feel that they should let the teams slug it out on the floor and decided the outcome for themselves, especially when its on the last play of the game (short of a player being vagarently mauled, of course).

Congrats Trees!
Judging by the crowd reaction.....this was HUGE!
Trees hung in there and made a play at the end.
Bears showed toughness in the loss too.
I would have taken 7-1 before the season so might as well take it now.

Not trying to be crude here (really), but is Carters face disfigured? Looks like he's from the cast of "Planet of the Apes".

I will give credit that ISU outhustled us on many plays all night long, but that last second call was no more than a continuation of the entire game. Go back and watch the tape, I was watching recorded and did a lot of short rewinds. There were a TON of nonexistant (not touch, but absolutely no touch) fouls called on the Bears the entire game. I could accurately tell you that there were at least 5 fouls called on the Bears with ZERO contact. There is no way ANYONE, including ISU fans, would agree with the refs calling that foul at the end of the game...was there contact...yes...did it alter the shot of attempt at the shot in any way...no. Unwritten rules exist in every sport....and that was a very bad break of one such unwritten rule. You swallow that whistle and let the players decide a great game in OT. If you agree with that call at the end, then you have to completely disagree with the no call on Ricks on the prior play when he was bumped all over the place going down the lane to win the game....refs seemed to know the rule on that end.

As I said in the beginning, ISU played a harder game than we did, congrats on the win...as unfortunate as the end had to be.

Great win by ISU-B, they can definitely hang w/the contenders. I won't call them a legit title contender until they beat WSU, MSU, UNI or CU on the road though. Time will tell....too bad they couldn't play like this at the beginning of the season, they are making the MVC look bad!

LOL! You just can't hack an arm on a shot and not get a foul called whether or not it actually altered the shot. Period. And you act like MSU didn't draw way more fouls than ISU did. That was a completely fair call.

There was a foul and it was called. It wasn't on his arm....it was on his non shooting shoulder. It didn't alter his shot or momentum. Was a dumb foul to make and a dumb foul to call. Elgin didn't seem pleased about it either.

No Elgin looked pissed nothing like the big match up being tainted with that finish.

Yeah, lol. Elgin looked really pissed. They put the camera right on his face and you could tell he wasn't at all happy with that last second whistle.
