I will give credit that ISU outhustled us on many plays all night long, but that last second call was no more than a continuation of the entire game. Go back and watch the tape, I was watching recorded and did a lot of short rewinds. There were a TON of nonexistant (not touch, but absolutely no touch) fouls called on the Bears the entire game. I could accurately tell you that there were at least 5 fouls called on the Bears with ZERO contact. There is no way ANYONE, including ISU fans, would agree with the refs calling that foul at the end of the game...was there contact...yes...did it alter the shot of attempt at the shot in any way...no. Unwritten rules exist in every sport....and that was a very bad break of one such unwritten rule. You swallow that whistle and let the players decide a great game in OT. If you agree with that call at the end, then you have to completely disagree with the no call on Ricks on the prior play when he was bumped all over the place going down the lane to win the game....refs seemed to know the rule on that end.
As I said in the beginning, ISU played a harder game than we did, congrats on the win...as unfortunate as the end had to be.
